About me

I am a Registered Counsellor with the The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and a Professional member of The Association of Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO.) I work within the NCPS ‘Ethical Framework for Counsellors’, and also the NCPS Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy. Information relating to both of these documents can be found here.

I can offer face-to-face, walking, or online counselling in the form of telephone, email, IM or webcam video call such as Zoom.

I offer counselling for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and challenging life events. My background includes working with private clients, young people aged 11–18, and individuals facing bereavement, loss, or life-limiting illness. With experience in schools, charities, teaching, and coaching, I provide a supportive space to explore your experiences and find a way forward.

Outside of counselling, I enjoy staying active through sport and spending time outdoors. I also like going to the cinema and reading when I can.

About the way I work

I offer counselling in a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Counselling isn’t about giving advice—it’s about working together to understand what’s going on for you and finding a way forward.

I use a range of approaches including CBT, person-centred, transactional analysis, and psychodynamic theories to suit your individual needs. Our work together is client-led and focused on building a safe, empathic relationship where you can reflect, grow, and make the changes you choose at your own pace.
